Snow today = soup

Yesterday our yard went from THIS:

069 070

To THIS --

Yes – this morning – we awoke to:

073 074

EEEEK -- I know!!! I truly can’t believe it – I’m in complete denial! It’s only the middle of October.

My to-do list has been amended to now include --

  • unpacking/organizing winter gear -
  • get the boots, jackets, hats, mittens, scarves & snowpants arranged.

ok- I need a change of mindset – let’s focus on the positive….

This weather is turning me on to the cold weather foods so today I’m making – hot steaming spicy comfort food….

Super TACO Soup (this will be a made up with what I have on hand recipe so If it’s good I’ll share with ya tomorrow)

another positive is that soon I’ll be able to enjoy:

  • hot chocolate with the kiddos – extra marshmallows for everyone (or maybe a little bailey’s mmmmm)??

  • Cozy snuggle up blankets & sheets:

(these last few images from country living)

Right?? (I still like summer waaaayyyyy better!)

  1. I'm a Fall and Spring gal! But summers here are just too hot. Makes a Southern gal glisten TOO MUCH. LOL Can't wait to hear how the Taco Soup turns out. I love it.

  2. BRRRRRR! It is chilly 50-60 here, but no snow! Although, you make it all look so cozy...

  3. That is crazy about the snow!!! BUT those fall colors you have are incredible!

  4. Oh I am soooo jealous! Where I live we are only barely getting fall leaves. I can't wait for snow! :o) Beautiful pics, too, I love them!

P.S. Thank you for your compliments! I learned to sew from my mom when I was very young, but I think probably the best place (other than a friend) to learn would probably be classes at JoAnns, or video tutorials on YouTube! I hope you're able to pick it up sometime, it's so handy! And not really very difficult! :o)

I {ADORE} your comments and read! ♥
