Fireplace Freshening

Our fireplace needed some freshening.
Took everything down & started anew:
Wanted more graphics, more blank and white, silver (my winter thoughts) – just gathered different items from around the house.
Here’s the result:

home decor 031Here is the before – I loved it this fall – very cozy & warm (with my little old NEST banner I made out of coffee filters).

But for winter – I wanted a lighter, more vivid feel:
I’m already looking forward to putting together my spring version soon – I’m, in fact, in denial that winter has it’s hold here for another 2 1/2 full months!

  2. Looks good! Very fitting for winter. I was dreaming about yardwork and my garden as this will be the first spring on our new rural property. No planting here for another 4 months probably...

  6. Your mantel looks really pretty. Love the sign...

Since i love winter the best,I am hanging on to it for all it's worth. Yesterday, however, it was in the middle 60's. Warm for this time of year.
I love cold, adverse weather and then I cuddle up in front of my fireplace! :O)

  10. Hello...

First of all...I love your big ol' stone fireplace and the hewn wood mantel...gorgeous!!! Love your winter look using the black and white with the silver...all very wintery feeling! Your tall "No Clearance" sign is awesome and I love the height that it brings to your beautiful mantel vignette! Love all the black and white graphics...all the different textures! They make for a very interesting vignette!!! Thank you so much for sharing your beautifully decorated fireplace and mantel with us today...what a treat!!!

    Warmest winter wishes,
