Farmhouse Love

While I don’t officially live in a farmhouse…I do live in the good ol’ country but our commute to town and shopping (can anyone say Target) is short so it is the best of both worlds.

It makes me yearn for a country farmhouse (minus the cows).

  • Fresh Eggs
  • Making Bread
  • Clothes out on the clothesline
  • A twisting bumpy country road/driveway leading to the homestead
  • Soaking in a steaming claw foot tub at day’s end
  • Canning homemade green beans & jam
  • Gardening up a storm
  • Sitting on the front porch with a glass of iced tea
  • Warm Apple Pie

Ok – so I already do most some of these things.

I just don’t do it in a house or garden like these

{at least not yet – but I can dream}:

barn door

beadboard mancave

 beadboard

coffee baskets eggs bhg eggs sign bhg farm house bhg kitchen sink

 mixing bowls bhg vegetable-garden-01-this-old-house Vera-Bradley-Baekgaard-House-Kitchen-0610-de

Aren’t those all just farm fresh deliciousness?

  2. These pictures are farmhouse style at it's best! That house is PERFECT! And I love those sweet red chairs around the table! I have a chair like one of them (the one that is different from the other two)...I wonder what it would look like in red? Hum...that is something to think about!

Thank you so much for mentioning the giveaway on your blog, and be sure to comment that you did this for the extra entry, if you'd like! :) It was very sweet of you, and this was such a fun post to read!

    Have a beautiful day!

  6. I can just imagine baking my own fresh sour dough bread every morning in one of those farm houses. Maybe one day!
