As you can see in the photos below…we don’t have an official real headboard…..we’ve always just faked it with pillows and stuff.
Here is what I put up when we first moved here:
Never was really in love with…it was fine but seemed a bit…I don’t know…dinky (&, it seems, looks worse in this photo!)
So with autumn in the air – I decided to try another option.
I used stuff I already had
- A creamy white shutter {turned on its side}
- with some ribbon strung through the slats and tied in the back
Hung this on the existing nail from the stuff I took down
and
Tied the wreath onto the front of the shutter
Then I had the nail peeking out over the top (where I hung the ribbon/shutter from)
So I grabbed a vintage doorknob from my little collection
And popped it over the top of the nail
I’m digging it!
