My mom was a wonderful seamstress.
With that skill comes some supplies.
She shared her button collection with me years ago and up to now I’ve enjoyed it wrapped up in a pretty jar for display.
Now I’ve decided to put some of them into action.
So I took some of these
and some of these
put them together for some of these
bracelets and necklaces
some black and bling:
mmmm…absolutely loving this little reminder of mom around me!

I love what you did with those~ what a great idea and a perfect way to have those special treasures right with you. :)
ReplyDeleteVERY cool idea! On many of my own photos when my hand is in the picture, I'm always wearing the button bracelet my son made me in school. :) I never ever take it off.
ReplyDeleteYour version is very glamorous! Those types of buttons made me think of my own mom too!
Very nice. Featuring you on the SNS sidebar this weekend. :)

Happy New Year! Kathleen
Enjoyed seeing your pretty creations - you did a great job on them. Thanks for sharing with us. I started a bracelet using buttons long ago, and ended up taking it apart - just could not get the right combination or something.
ReplyDeleteFabulous idea!
ReplyDeleteSuch special memories for you. I am a button collector (if it is a button, I want it). I have a necklace made out of buttons a friend's eight year old daughter made for me about 30 years ago, and I treasure it. Thanks for sharing.
