    If you don't have a chalkboard handy use chalkboard paint! I did something similar that included little hooks to hang keys as well--it is on my blog if you want to check it out for another use for the paint (if you are like me, got a ton of the paint, so had to use it!). I ended up making a ton for little side Christmas gifts last year--people LOVED it!
