Metal Flowers

This was a fun little project to make.

Step 1
ahhh finish off that can of pop.

Rinse can out well

Cut it open… careful – the metal is SHARP remember.
I used plain ol’ kitchen scissors but you could also use metal snips if you have them.

Draw a template on paper

Step 5
Trace the paper over the metal to indent with your template shape

Step 6
Cut out the shape (here is the back of the flower)

Step 7
Flip up the ends of the petals
try it various ways…crinkle them up or twist or smooth or roll
however you like
Step 8
Add whatever you like to the blossom center
rolled up twine

I made mine into magnets for the fridge (hot glued it to the back of the flower)
but this could have a
string added to the back and hung too,
if ya like.

I actually asked my kids to drink pop last night instead of milk so that I could have empty pop cans….
Crafting will do that do a girl I guess.
