We had a BIT of snow here this weekend….so after shoveling and plowing…
sledding with the kiddos
cocoa makin
and cookie bakin
We did some crafting…..
I ended up making some
DECORATED EMBELLISHED BEAUTIFIED JOURNALS
Here’s the back to this one:
Here’s how…
Taking some inexpensive notebooks (a la Target – some picked up after back to school for only 12 cents each!)
cut scrapbook paper to framecover the front
round the corners
punch holes through the front and back cover
string pretty ribbon through the hole and knot in the front to make the ‘handles’
Embellish…
Embellish….
Embellish….
(here’s the back of this one)
Another journal:
check out the ‘handles’
do you like how the journal traveled all around the house to for its photoshoot?
-------------------------------
and another version (brighter and more colorful!)
I’m making a bunch for the kids teachers – great personalized teacher gifts!
I’m also gonna make more for the kids to keep their own journals during the winter break ahead
and
some for me {just cuz they’re pretty and fun to keep you to-do lists in!}

ReplyDeleteSuch a neat idea! my daughter was looking over my shoulder while I was looking at this post and she demanded that I make her something similar! We used a bunch of stuff we already had and prettied up her math notebook! Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThank-you for visiting my blog and commenting on my pillow! It's hard to part with my children's things. just another reminder that they are getting older! Happy Holidays!
