I had a VERY old sucrets tin
(you could also use an altoids tin!)
that my mother in law shared with me
(she knows that I could probably make something out of stuff other people consider junk!)
I painted the outside (a beautiful grayish blueish sea-like color)
added some paper to cover the top and inside
added some embellishments
and voila
inside you could add candy, little gifts, etc.
I made some coordinating magnets (which then cling to the metal box)
(my kinda project!)

soooo cute! Love the magnets inside too; very clever!
ReplyDeleteAdorable - would make great party favors. Don't think I've had a Sucrets tin in years....will be watching the yard sales now! I give my grown-up kids gift cards or money for birthdays and Christmas - this would be the perfect handmade touch to hold those kinds of gifts.
ReplyDeleteThat's so cute! Do they even make Sucrets tins anymore? They're probably plastic.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! Thank you for linking to my party.
