Come on in…

here is our front door with a little springy wreath

home 031

home 032

you know I gotta add a little bit of junky goodness

I believe this metal thingy was an old bait box

you know…like standing in the river fishing
to hold your worms

I’m not gonna be doing THAT

so thought I’d use it here to add a little bling

home 033home 034

another project from today…

is this little stool I’ve been working on

started off as a plain jane wooden stool

home 004

that I primed and then painted

home 036

and added a little detail with some layers of color

taping it off for some stripe action

home 037

Printed out some graphics and shaded the back with a pencil

home 038

tape down that piece and go over the top with a ballpoint pen

home 039

and that image appears on the stool

home 040

I wanted some layers of colors to show through

so started off by tracing with a black sharpie

home 041home 042

and then scribbled over with a red paint pen

home 072home 087

and then hand painted over that with some gray blue sample paint

home 088

wait to dry and then sand to distress

and here is the final product

I think it’s just adorable

Better after eh?
