wheeeeee
wheeeeee!!
When I see
PINWHEELS…
I think of
sunny warm
spring/summer days
full of
sunshine
&
fun!
Even the word
TWIRL
is fun to say!
Remember I made my pinwheel wreath
awhile back & I told you I’d show you how to make the
individual pinwheels.
Here’s How:
I use 12 x 12 double-sided scrapbook paper
cut into 4 squares (6 x 6 each)
Take each square and fold it into a triangle like below
Cut from the pointy end of that triangle to about an inch from the folded line:
Repeat this process for the other side -
Open up the square
and re-fold it the OTHER way
and cut almost to that fold line
when you unfold again – it will look like this:
(see how it makes an x on the fold lines and the center is NOT cut?)
Punch a whole in each corner like this:
Now you get to use these babies:
Place one of the brads into the TOP of the first punched whole
Grab the next one and put that under the first wing
and keep adding the ‘wings’ UNDER until you have all four looped in
then put the brad through the back of the pinwheel
and open it up to hold in place
(not SUPER tight or the pinwheel won’t spin)
you can even put the brad through a straw and then open it for a handle:
I dare you
to make some and NOT feel like it is
Summertime
already!
