Start off by taking some peppers
about 6 large or 10 medium
REAL jalapenos
cut them in half the long way
remove the seeds (leave a few if you want to live dangerously!)
{now is the time NOT to touch your eyes, etc.) as it will
HURT...Bad!!!
(just sayin’)
‘pop’ (hardy har har) these in the oven cut side down at 400 degrees for a couple minutes to soften and start browning them (watch em to so they don’t burn but til they get toasted enough to your liking)
I like em a little bit black and charred myself
Now mix the
FILLING
1 package cream cheese
3 cups shredded colby jack cheese
a dash of hot sauce (if ya like!)
Stuff the filling inside the browned peppers
see I used a baby spoon to get the good stuff
in all the little spaces!
{I knew I kept that baby spoon for a reasonable reason!}
Back in the oven they go for another couple minutes until the cheese melts and they are warmed through
{you MIGHT just HAVE to test it to make sure they’re done)
oh yeah – look at these babies
All the ooey gooey goodness!
