ooohhh how I
LOVE
making presents for
brand new
little
people
I recently attended a baby shower so
I whipped up some of these little
DIAPER BABIES
from tiny diapers, socks,
washcloths and ribbon
{Oh…and some googly eyes, too!}
Here’s how:
Some baby washcloths
some cute baby socks
spread out one of the washcloths –
fold it in half corner to corner
take a disposable diaper (I used pampers swaddlers size 2)
place the sock on one end of the diaper to form the
Hat
(squish down the toe part of the sock to push down the hat)
like this – ta da!
see -
now wrap up the ‘body’ with the washcloth
(like you’re swaddling a baby or making a burrito!!)
and tie in place with some coordinating ribbon
now for the
FUN
draw little closed sleeping eyes
and
attach some googly eyes
see the one on the right down below??
{he has crazy thick eyelashes!}
shhh…quiet this one is sleeping!
(when have googly eyes ever been so cute??)
Put these all together in a basket with other goodies
like
* pacifiers
* more little socks
* baby soap & lotion
(love that smell!)
* bibs
* rattles
* etc
Are you wracking your brain for pregnant people right now?
“Who can I make these for?”

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea...love it!! Just shared this on our Fun Finds Friday... http://kitchenfunwithmy3sons.blogspot.com/2011/11/fun-finds-friday_18.html
ReplyDeleteWow! What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteHi all,
ReplyDeleteDiapering is probably the most dreaded of all baby care activities. The truth of the matter is that diapering has gotten much easier as the years have gone by. No matter if you use cloth or disposable diapers, they are easier to use and hold more with fewer leaks than even 10 years ago. Thanks for sharing it......
This is an amazing idea! I am pinning this and will be making some for baby gifts! Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute!!! I love these! Thanks for auditioning for OMTWI! Don't forget to include the button in your post or sidebar! Don't want you to be disqualified!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to find a site you can trust. I like the privacy of shopping online, but you never know what sites are okay. Visit Mymiraclebaby.com this site was recommended by a friend so I tried it. They provide a Personalized baby Gifts, Personalized Gifts, Baby Gifts at affordable price.Their service was great! I'm becoming a frequent shopper!
ReplyDeleteNice post its quite useful, i have just started my own website and it looks like this will help a lot.
ReplyDeleteIt is traditional to have everyone watch the mommy-to-be open the baby shower gifts at the end of the shower. Sometimes, people may get bored, especially if there are a lot of gifts. A great idea is to have a baby shower present BINGO game. Place numbers on all the gifts and make bingo cards for every baby shower guest that is still, there for the present opening.
ReplyDeletewow it looks cute!
ReplyDeletei now have an idea on what to give my sister ones she deliver her baby. I love it. thanks for the great share.
