Funky Junk and Miss Mustard Seed{northern cottage} edition
Funky Junk (DEFINED): rusty hinges, old license plates, her get down, dusty, dirty, get it done spirit,
junky fabulishousness (ya like that new word?)
Some examples:
Miss Mustard (DEFINED): refined, elegant, composed, classic bella casa – gorgeous. She works HARD to make it look this effortless!
see the differences?
but then do you also see the similarities?
Both are lovely, unique, inspired, awesome!
thank you funky junk donna and miss mustard seed for following your own paths!
Your images are all diverse and yet gorgeous in their own right…
so here’s my version of their styles:
I have bits and pieces from around our cottage that fit the bill for both of these styles….
so I guess …..this {northern cottage} is a ….. little bit country and a little bit rock and roll
a little bit classic and a little bit junky
a little bit serene and a little bit hyped up
Here are some snippets that I feel have been inspired (rather than straight out copying) by these two:
funky junk remote storage
mine
some other shots from around this cottage that remind me of the mixture of funky junk and mustard styles:
junky
refined
junky
junky
refined
a glass vessel full of antique doorknobs
not sure – junky and/or refined?
I just like it
more combos of junky and refined:
ok so you can see from those shots above that I lean a little more toward junk.
Just sayin.
So I really tried to study Miss Mustard a bit more and
s .t. r. e. t. c. h…. myself.
Here’s some that are pure Miss Mustard Seed inspired and little less junkified:
Here was my inspiration
ahhhh lovely and serene image above, right?
and here is my version:
I have a newfound love for drawing nests now.
I didn’t know that I could!!
this copy challenge inspired me to do something different and I love that I did!
I have other paint projects on my list that I am totally inspired to complete but it is WAY TOO COLD HERE to paint out in the garage yet….spring oh spring where are you?
so you’ll see those someday soon (I hope!)
