GARDENER’S HAND SCRUB!

hello!!  I've got a fun little 'recipe' here for gardeners
(and non-gardeners too)!

GARDENERS HAND SCRUB
works wonderfully to scrub off the dirt after pulling weeds
(or after mixing up a big ol' meatloaf!!)  :)

home-0048
Start off with a BIG ol’ mixing bowl
home-0113

add some sugar

home-0133

and some dish soap (since it is HAND SCRUB I love using the Hand Renewal kind)
home-0168

and a couple drops of peppermint extract
{some folks who might know a bit more about chemistry than me
that would be like just about everyone
mentioned that some might be sensitive to the extract
so you can certainly leave that out if ya wish}

home-0198

and some pretty little jars

home-0128

Whip Up a Batch:

Tip:

My measuring trick that I’ve learned
after creating several batches:
** pour the sugar into the jars you’re gonna use nearly to the top
and then…pour that into your mixing bowl
then add a few squeezes of the soap until ou get the consistency you like
to the consistency of…well…
HAND SCRUB!

home 015

home 017

add a couple drops of extract if ya want to
up the scent factor
and
stir, stir, stir

then plop into your jars

home 018

Decorate the jars with a cute tag if you’d like…

I kept it simple with just some twine and a little handmade tag.

These are perfect gifts for gardening moms, sisters, teachers, friends, neighbors, etc. Enjoy!!!

The Little Bench

This bench came into our lives as you see below

it was a good enough bench

good lines

color was
  red
very red!
which was ok for awhile
{as you guys know I’ve enjoyed my hits of red!)

home 003

BUT I thought I’d tone it down a bit

and make it

blend in

a little more

so off I go…

sand sand sand

home 001

prime, prime, prime

home 002

paint, paint, paint

distress, distress, distress

home 086

here it is in place at the dining room table

(I have plans to adjust the table too - when it warms up enough here)

home 085

what do you think?

Remember my other little stool
(click here to see how I made it)

it still makes me
smile
every time I walk by!
