all I can say is…

Yum!

These were

easy

&

fun

&

---------------------------------------

I went to town making some of our own…

Here’s how:

1) vanilla flavored orange candy melts (from Michael’s)

home 125

2) marshmallows

home 123

3) lollipop sticks

home 122

4) finely crushed graham cracker crumbs

(whirled them up in my bullet!)

home 124

(& some mini chocolate chips which
may or may not have been used & quickly consumed!  sorry no pics of the mini choc chips = no evidence that they existed!)

--------------------------

get the marshmallows all ready

& set aside the graham crumbs in a little bowl

then melt the candy

cover the marshmallows

(using a metal icing spatula to remove the excess)

and then dip in the crumbs (or mini choc chips - mmmm!)

home 126

and then place on waxed paper lined cookie tray

You can pop the whole tray in the fridge to help the candy to set more quickly

when all done - let the kids have a treat of one (or two!)

and wrap in little bags

I used green little twist ties curled around a chopstick to make

home 002

the little pumpkins tendrils (my favorite part!)

Rock On

This baby just got a new lease on life!

home 049

Started off this lovely orangey brown

don’t ya o the background?
(my ‘driveway studio’ which comes with a big pile of dirt & rocks that my hubby is playing with!  Not EVERYONE has got that –
aren’t you jealous?!)

-------------------------------

I started by priming out all the

little curves

home 086

and then primed the whole thing, added two coats of a pretty soft white

and ta-da

A new rockin beautiful chair!

home 113

That was easy & fun & so worth getting paint all over me!

LOVE is Priceless

I made my hubby a gift from the heart for our anniversary

I also bought him…umm…
socks
so don’t count me as a TOTAL romantic!

------------------------

home 107

I collected pennies

for the year we were married

and

for the year each of our babies were born

home 106

The pennies were drilled to be able to slide on a keychain

home 108

and I added a tag with the simple letters of

‘US’

home 109

which says it all

makes me wanna cry…in a good way!

Lots of memories in those years!

Northern Cottage Autumn on Pinterest

I’m so very inspired that

Fall

is on the way.

It was in the 80’s here yesterday & now today…

a high of 51 degrees!

How did that happen?

Yes, I guess fall has arrived…

today!

I do love

Autumn!

Some of the pics from pinterest that have me yearning even more for fall:

(link on images for source)

and I love the

end of the garden...

putting it to rest for the season while enjoying the final fruits:

after all that work in the garden, you have to treat yourself to some wine:

out by the back shed:

and I'm so very drawn to the

pared down & soothing white images too:

and

to wrap up the perfect autumn day – perhaps

go for a drive
(in a vintage turquoise truck no less)

on a country road:

sounds lovely - doesn't it?

Goings On

Today I got a LOT done

Worked my regular job and then got to play a bit with some

organizing, cooking

&

crafting

------------------------------------

Made some of these:

for teacher gifts on the first day of school

{I think all teachers deserve a little sustenance on the
1st day of school!}

wrapped ‘em up in some cellophane and
printed out a cute message

-------------------------------------

we also made a yummy dinner of

RIBS

{slow cooked in the oven ALL DAY at 200 degrees}
and then

BBQ - ed

to crispy & yet tender perfection

and made some of these yummy smashed potatoes on the side

inspired by this pin:

------------------

and on the crafty side

got to whip up some of these:

all in all a very good day!
