HAPPY
Spring!!
The mantel has been put together here at the cottage for
Springtime!
It is so very HAPPY
and FRESH
and
FUN!
I picked up a vintage garden gate
and am smitten with the wire and
being able to finalize use it now that
spring is on its way!
for now I’ve placed it in front of the fireplace box
to lighten up that area a bit
I painted some letters
F.r.e.S.H
and strung them on the gate
to coordinate with the
banners
I made
{a quick little tutorial for those coming soon!}
I have some vintage pop shoppe bottles
holding a bloom
{love the graphics on these babies!}
and have wonderful kid memories of drinking this fun pop!
{ that’s ‘soda’ for you southerners!!}
thank you
for coming by
& checking out our
spring mantel!!
It reminds me that there is so much
FUN
just around the corner!
**we can also play where’s waldo…
can you find a puppy hiding in one of the pics in this post?**

LOVE your mantle!!! However, we Southerners call everything "coke"...What kind of coke do you want? A Sprite, thank you. That kind of thang...
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful Sunday evening!!
Elise
I'm smitten with the gate AND your fireplace! <3
ReplyDeleteYour mantel is so quirky and fabulous! I just HAD to comment on a mantel that incorporates Pop Shoppe bottles! I have many childhood memories of drinking this at my Grandparents' house - they seemed to have an endless supply in their hall closet but Lime Rickey was always the first to go!
ReplyDeleteYour "fresh" banner is super cute and the garden gate is so fun!

I'm featuring this at Mantel Monday, like I mentioned before. I came over to grab the picture and noticed I've titled my blog post very similarly to yours. So sorry! It's too late at night for me to rewrite it (I'm soooo tired!), so I'll just be the second Happy, Spring Mantel! :) Hope you don't mind!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!

OK, I must be blind because i don't see the puppy even though I know where to look? I just got new glasses so it can't be that. Your mantel is so pretty, and I love the garden gate as a fireplace screen. Very clever! The addition of pop shoppe bottles are pretty cool. So springy! I love this! Just found you from Under The Table....
ReplyDeleteI have a question. How do you create that list of linky parties you shared this at the bottom of your post? I have seen it done on other blogs and would love it if there were an easier way instead of copying and pasteing blog buttons.
Love the blog!
So fun! I love spring! Always puts you in a good mood! :] I love the little flags!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right...we do have some similar tastes! I have a scale like yours, and we both have a thing for homemade chalkboards. I'm going to enjoying stopping by your blog!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your style mix of modern color and pattern with vintage elements - perfect! I'm sharing this in a 5 for Friday Spring Mantel Roundup on my blog today, including one pic and a link back to this post : )
