I had a potting table on my front porch last year
{you can see it here}
which I loved to look at
but it wasn’t as functional as I’d hoped
If any dirt were to spill (which does happen with a potting table after all), it was a bear to clean off the porch
So I decided a new plan of attack was in order
I took a table (previously used in my office as a work table/desk)
and a huge heavy piece of metal that I picked up at a local sale {intending to use it as a gigantic bulletin board}
and a little shelf
Throw them together
and I got this
CUTE
Functional
&
FREE!!

POTTING TABLE
With everything I need RIGHT at my fingertips!
a cute vintage stool with a sassy little ruffled skirt
that I can use to sit a spell while potting and primping my plants
mmmm succulents
And who can resist a vintage yellow truck
I placed this whole new area on the back wall of our attached garage which has a water source right next to the potting table , easy clean up and very handy access!
Now I’m all set to get my
gardening groove
on!
{I’ll be sharing some of my planting adventures here soon!}

Came over from Funky Junk to see this. I would never leave here - it is such a mood-lifting space! I cannot decide if the yellow dump truck or the apron on the stool is my favorite.

Love what you did for your potting table. I love the yellow. I am working on mine, using yellow too and hope to finish it tomorrow. Hope you will come visit me.

Wow, what a gorgeous potting area! I have a plastic one that just isn't cutting it -- something like would be great. Thanks for the inspiration.

Wow! Beautiful! Between you and Linda (It All Started with Paint), I'm inspired and think I NEED a potting bench...even if I'm not ready to plant! ;) Awesome job!
ReplyDeleteLove your potting table! The little dump truck is adorable! I swear I'm in love with potting tables and pinning away! Now I need one of those galvanized buckets like you have to catch the dirt. Come check out the table I created this summer. I love your vintage gardening tools and the clay pots too. Can I get your permission to pin your potting bench?
ReplyDeleteLove it, what a beautiful working potting table! Love how you have it all decked out. I'm working on one myself, so thanks for the inspiration! I'm pinning this!
