My niece moved into a new apartment recently so we wanted to give her a little housewarming gift.
We decided on some canisters but knew we didn’t want to give plain old canisters – NO WAY!
So we took some ol’ bare canisters
(that you can pick up just about anywhere like Target, Walmart, etc.)
Painted the lids up in this very pretty dark blue/green paint
Added some wooden tags
{embellished with numbers}
and wrapped ‘em up with some
yummy grey & white bakers twine
I filled it them up with flour, sugar and
the essential chocolate chips!
Now she’s all set to make some cookies!
I can smell them baking now!

What a fabulous idea, love it!! The only question I have is.... shouldn't the chocolate chips be in the BIG jar? :)

Cute canisters! I love the wide mouth jars and painted lids. What a clever idea. I ended up buying Tupperware because I couldn't find what I wanted to store my flour and sugar. I wish I'd seen this a long time ago!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea! Love this and makes a great gift. Aubrie and Denise (from BeBetsy) made some of your Diaper Babies for family who are expecting. Cannot wait to give them. Thanks again for the idea and you can see our pic under your post on BeBetsy.com
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
