As you’ve seen, I love to utilize unique and oftentimes, vintage pieces in my storage and organization!

Here are my biggest tricks:

* To kick off organizing, many times I start by dusting and vacuuming…sounds weird but that gets it in gear and makes you pick.up.stuff & de-clutter!

* Go through each room and make a list of the things you see, remove those that don’t belong in that space and contain the rest

* Group similar things together

* Stack and layer your storage pieces for interest

* Ditch the packaging stuff comes in and re-store the items in cool vintage containers.

* Think outside the box for your containers – a cool vintage loaf pan only for bread?  no way!!  Use it to store paperclips or cotton balls or cookie cutters – whatever!

* Make use of containers you already have or be on the hunt for unique containers! They can be your best friend in organizing the stuff of life.  Use those
bins, boxes, crates, bottles/jars, baskets, drawers, carts, dressers, shelves, hooks, trays and pails!!

Happy Organizing!!

  1. Great organizing tips! I've enjoyed the series. I find that I function much better in a neat and tidy space. Disorganization just tends to throw me off.

  3. I need all the help I can get! These are such great tips and lovely, too! I am not a very organized person, which is exactly why I have to be, in order to function with three kids! It just doesn't come natural, so I love new ideas! Plus, it helps when the storage and organization is pretty! (:
