Prairie Cottage
thing we have going on now for our living room and mantel
{* by “we” I really mean “me” as I’m not sure that anyone else even notices a mantel change around here! I also don’t know that they’d call the look prairie cottage - ha! but I like it…so there!}
I’ve been working to simplify for a more edited look
The mantel includes layers of goodies for a calm
yet interesting, textured look:
* a very old wire gate,
*a printers case,
* some dear old cookbooks,
* a wreath,
* a chalkboard,
* little galvanized pots and
* a painted mason jar
all come together for a look I’m quite smitten with
{for now!}
You know I love a chalkboard tucked in here and there
happy, happy fall y’all!!!

I love the gate too.... and the fireplace. Can't wait to redo ours in a river rock 'prairie cottage' thing. By the time we get to redo the fireplace it may be called 'vintage prairie cottage'! Gorgeous mantle! :)
