This cute

Here’s how:

i heart twine northern cottage

just take some twine
some washi tape

Open up your tape and lay your twine across it

and then flip your tape over on itself
to seal the twine inside

home 050

Repeat for whatever tape combination you’d like to use

home 053

You can leave as a square shape or trim into triangles

For using in the mini garden – I attached to wire and strung it
across the garden

A nice little bonus is that it holds up so good
against the elements, too!

I’m loving this fun little element in the garden!
I have the feeling I’ll have a few of these strung here and there in the cottage as we whip more up!

Gardening at the Cottage!

I’ve been on a bit of a gardening kick as of late.

We northerners have a small window in which to savor the green lushness of this wonderful season called

so we suck it all up!

My little potting area has been getting a

simmons workout

{ewww sorry but I HAD to add this shot above!}

I thought I’d share

a few of the planters I’ve put together

I’m in love with this one above – it’s in a

vintage SEARS metal battery container

in the perfect chippy green patina!!

When I got this one done I was calling it my

potting chair

but my daughter thought I’d said

potty chair

different – yes – different!

I’m in love with succulents this year and have them tucked here and there
