handmade casserole carrier @NorthernCottage.net hello there babycakes….

I’ve made a fun gift for an upcoming wedding and I’m in love with this new project!  ♥♥♥

I was sparked to action by this pin
(which used tutorials from here and here) but…
it seemed a little too complicated (for me and my sewing skills, anyway!)

so I decided to make up my own version (which doesn’t sound like it would be easier but for me, it was!)  My version ended up being more like a bag or pouch to slide the baking pan into and I integrated the straps into the seams and added ties to the opening to keep the pan in place.

I chose this yummy heavy cotton fabric for the outside and the ties, a wonderfully fun grey polka dot fabric for the interior (sandwiching the Insulated batting between the layers to keep the hot foods hot and cold food cool) along with black web straps for the handles.

I decided to add a cute little pocket on the front to hold a wooden spoon too.  what a fun touch!

This is a GREAT way to bring goodies to any
potluck, get together, or party.

You can make one for yourself (c’mon treat yourself!) and/or as a gift (think housewarming, bridal shower, wedding present, a gift for your mom, best friend or even your neighbor!)

I’m also going to etch the new bride and grooms last name on the side of the baking pan to personalize this gift even further.

So…Would you guys like a tutorial on how I whipped this baby up?

You just let me know in the comments and I’ll then get working on a step by step guide!!

happy day to you ALL!!
