{Cheddar Mushroom Burgers} with sweet onion and garlic aioli!!

Now that’s a mouthful of a post title, isn’t it? 
Today I get to share this awesome burger recipe, some burger/grilling tips AND a GIVEAWAY (anybody wanna get their hands on one of three $50 cash gift cards?????)

{NorthernCottage} Cheddar Mushroom Burger with Sweet Onion Aioli - yum!!

I don’t know that there is anything better than a good burger – sometimes it JUST HITS THE SPOT!!  Know what I mean??  Sometimes I just HAVE to have one (not all that often but sometimes it’s just necessary!)  I rarely order them out but love them at home.  You’re gonna WANT to make these burgers and take a big old BITE!!

And this one includes some of my favorite, favorite, favorite elements:

Dripping with gooey cheddar cheese – check
Garlicky creamy sweet onion sauciness – yep, call me saucy! – check
Lightly toasted bread – ahhh a good bun - check
Sautéed beautifully browned mushrooms - check

{NorthernCottage} Cheddar Mushroom Burger!

NORTHERN COTTAGE’S
Cheddar Mushroom Burgers
(with Sweet Onion and Garlic Aioli)

Ingredients:

1 pound ground chuck (80% lean)
1/2 packet Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Mix (about 1 heaping Tablespoon)
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
Sauteed Mushrooms
Cheddar Cheese Slices
Hamburger Buns

Sweet Onion and Garlic Aioli: 
8 oz sour cream
1/2 packet Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Mix (about 1 heaping Tablespoon)
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon prepared horseradish

Directions:

Combine Aioli ingredients and chill to meld flavors until burgers are ready!

Combine Meat, Onion Soup Mix and Worcestershire sauce.  Divide into 4 portions and shape into patties (see below for patty forming tip!). 
While pre-heating grill, saute mushrooms in butter and set aside. 
Grill patties over medium heat, turning once, about 12 minutes or until done.  Split hamburger buns and toast cut side on grill for a few seconds. 
Assemble burgers with mushrooms, cheese, and aioli on the toasted buns.  Enjoy!!

Here are some of our fav grilling tips too:

*  When forming your burger patties, push the centers in a little bit (so they are just a bit thinner in the center than the outer edge of the patty) so that it cooks more evenly

*  Be sure to pre-heat that grill!!  Putting the burgers on a hot grill gives that burger a great sear and allows the burger to keep hold of that wonderful flavorful juiciness - resulting in a great burger!

*  Lightly toasted burger buns are a hit at our house!  Split the rolls, butter lightly (or leave plain) and let them kiss the grill for a few moments as you're wrapping up grilling the burgers!  Yum!!

* Team up with a partner – put ‘em to work!  My hubster is a master on the grill so I take full advantage of that – wink! ;)

  3. OMG That looks delicious!! I would go with out mushrooms, Im allergic, but otherwise fantastic ingredients. Cant wait to get the grill going now :)May have to add some bacon lol

  4. OMG, I'm drooling on my tablet. Your pics are absolutely Mmmmmm delicious!! I love burgers..any time, any place, any type. Since mushrooms are a fave for me, you have created the ULTIMATE, and I have to make them. Now I a going to wipe off my tablet and find something to eat (probably a bowl of cereal cause it's almost 2 am). Thanx for the great recipe.

  8. Tip: Always spray pam on your gill for easy nonstick grilling and also use the flame to burn any not so good things off your grilling area. I also love chilli on my burger- livivua chandler
